Pointing is the vitally important mortar infill that lies between the brickwork. When intact and in good condition this weather proofs the façade of a building and keeps it water tight. Poor and old pointing can loosen with touch so the effect that chemical application and use of brushes and jets can have consequences on the already loose mortar. It is therefore highly recommended that re-pointing is carried out after brick cleaning and especially paint stripping work. Old mortar is raked out by hand and replaced. Lime is used on request and within conservation areas. Colours and styles vary from different brick stock and can be personal preference. We can provide weather strut, flush and tuck pointing complimenting the brickwork and giving a complete finish. We provide all brick and stone repairs.
